100g butter
100g brown sugar
1 tablespoon golden syrup
150g SR flour
Choc chips or smarties
Cream the butter and sugar together
Add the golden syrup and mix
Add the flour and choc chips/smarties
Divide into about 10 pieces and roll into a ball. Place on a greased baking sheet spaced well apart. Bake at 180 for about 12 mins. Don't over cook. Leave to cool on a wire rack.

Yogurt Scones
To make 8 very large scones
16oz SR flour
4 oz of butter
4 oz of sugar
2 teaspoons of baking powder
250g of natural yogurt (half a big carton)
mixed fruit (put as much in as you like)
Milk for glazing
Rub the butter into the flour
Add the sugar and baking powder
Add the fruit and stir
Add the yogurt a bit at a time and mix to a firm dough
Roll to about an inch thick and cut out the scones
Brush the tops with milk
Bake at 180C for about 20mins
